Is it still as high as the below quote I saw today suggests it is, or has it fallen below that? What's the current scoop?

Quote:
Voice Acting Jobs (Seoul)

Do not take the below job. It is way under the market price, and they are trying to take advantage of people that don't know better. The standard (low end) pay for a job like this (narration) is at least 100,000 per hour. Generally, 50-70k/hour for education, 80k-100k for animation, and 100-150k for narration. This is even less than what the koreans make.

Don't take jobs from lowballers, and demand fair pay for your talents!

well the rate for today is 20,000 according to this ad

http://seoul.craigslist.co.kr/edu/4219043538.html

"Payment - This is a one-day job that pays 40,000 KRW, for a 2 hours session"

The last time I did voice recording, it was 40,000 for about 20 mins work. the above job is 40-60k too low.

I saw that ad, too. It is the most recent voice recording one (and in fact the only one I saw last time I checked).

I pray to God that is not the going rate (but rather a company or recruiter putting out feelers for a non-urgent project to see how low they can get away with paying) and that people will reject it to force the filthy rich company to pay more.

Davesters, I have a message for you:

In fact, a good thing to do when you see a crap offer online is to immediately make a post right next to it urging people not to work for cheap. (Copy and paste Weigookin74's words if you can't think of what to say.)
