There are a couple of good sales that end tomorrow. Aveeno Body Wash and lotion, Listerine, and J&J Baby Oil are all on sale. So are those big bags of Hershey Nuggets and Miniatures. Not on sale, but worth the trip are 60 packs of Swiss Miss with marshmallows for about 7,000 won and the 280 ct mini candy canes for 9,990. Also, those ice cream sundaes are 2,000 each at the food court. Get there early and you can load up on onions and mustard. Yummy.

There is never a good time to shop at COSTCO at the weekend. The place is a zoo at the weekends and it is far better to go during the week.

The peak zoo hours are Sunday afternoon around 5pm. My wife seems to think that's a good time to go because we finish church and we're close by. I always feel like it's one of the 9 circles of hell.

The thing that also gets me is the number of people standing in line for samples, especially beef.
I haven't been back home in over a decade. But, for those who have, is that the same in the US?

No, there are approx. 10x the people shopping at a Costco here at any given time. I'm used to seeing 2 or 3 people waiting for a sample, but not dozens

That was the way I remembered it as well, but like I said, I haven't been there in over a decade, so I thought something may have changed. Koreans are like another ethnic group back in the US, in that if something is free, they'll try to get as much as they possibly can without worrying what others think or if others will get something as well.

That's a great idea but not everyone lives in Itaewon, 5 minutes from Yanjae Station or within spitting distance from Costco. There are people who can only go on weekends because, gasp, they work during the week, and must travel for hours to get to a Costco.

Those who do live close to Seoul, or in Seoul, and shop at COSTCO during the week COULD give a heads up about sales but since they never get around to it leave it to someone, moi, who had to travel for hours on a Saturday morning, to post the sales for this week. The sales listed in the OP end this weekend.
