I seriously took too long to get my reference letter and get all my documents together (I obviously do not have a Visa yet. I live in Canada). I'm just about ready to apply--- is it too late? I am not picky about the location I get. Any advice?

I know there is also another small intake after February---- if that's so, then would they have a separate orientation date for people being recruited for that period, or would I still have to attend the orientation for February? I am tempted to check the "flexible, any start date" box for intake, as opposed to "Main intake only".

It's probably too late. The EPIK website says they are still taking applications but it likely just hasn't been updated yet. I know Footprints stopped accepting EPIK applicants weeks ago. I'm expecting my NOA/Contract within the next 2 weeks. Needless to say, it's very late in the process.

You only needed like 3 documents to submit your application - two letters + the application. The rest is sent in later. Did you spend so much time making sure you had everything before applying? There are only 30-60 estimated jobs for March/April. You can try to apply though.

Yes, I actually got my criminal record check, my transcripts, notarized copies of my diplomas etc... But it's really the reference letters that I got quite late. I was also getting into the perfectionist trap for the essay and lesson plan (*sigh*).

Just apply through a public school recruiter and don't be picky about where you want to be. There are public school openings all the time. Like I said, you just can't be picky about location.
