Ikk. Mad

I'd rather know up front who they want to hire than have them hide the fact

and then have me waste time and money applying, interviewing etc.

Doctor Beege

Why in the name of Odins bowels would someone with a PHD. in Anthropology want an M.A in TeFL. Also why would a phdh\ be teaching English in South KOrea. But since you could not hack it I guess it doesn't matter.

so something you may have missed in class. "Different cultures, different mores "
Your writing style, the lack of clarity and lack of critical thinking displayed also make me doubt your credentials
i STill THINK THIS IS A JOKE/TROLL. The rant about capitalism sure sounds like a 21 year old who is struggling and is angry at the system. But the Op states that he is a well educated person who is a paragon of virtue who put principles before filthy lucre. He left Korea because he refused to cause human suffering.

HUrray for big breasted Canadian girls. Korea needs more of them!!!

Nobody is critiquing you. The way you chose to write is not worthy of a reasoned critique. It was straight up terrible writing. Surely you realize your problems go much further than simple grammar. You have a Ph.D, right?

I thought the demand to not send anything but name and visa and age was a bit odd but they are just trying to cut down the paperwork I guess. They sent me an application form after I applied and I'm 40 and a male so they aren't sexist or limiting their hire to 20 somethings. Also in the app that they only give after they ask about experience.

Totally! They should be making the big bucks back home that an Anthro doctorate entitles them to.

So many haters. I'm getting criticized for not paragraphing? Didn't know I was being critiqued by a bunch of "Grammar Nazis". I guess I'm the only idealist among this group. Are you all really happy with capitalism? Yes, America is the model. Wages have been stagnant for the last three decades. A CEO three decades ago made 30 times his workforce. Today, it's 300 times. Some CEO's make 3000 times. Capitalism promotes greed. It promotes winning at all cost. We become expendable for being good workers because corporate America doesn't want to give us a salary bump. It's the same in Korea. It bought this model hook, line, and sinker. You may want to live in that world but I know I don't. .

(bolding mine)

Newsflash: "that world" IS the world we live in. As you point out yourself when you compare corporate America with corporate Korea.

{cough} Don't want to flog a dead horse, but I'll mention what I had in mind at the end of my post. Paul had a female co-author, but Dr. Beege didn't see fit to include her name in his(?) ever so scholarly citation. In other words, discrimination! I would say this is ironic, but since the OP was probably trolling, I'm doubtful whether 'ironic' is the right word.

That was honestly perhaps the worst writing I've read (?....more like seen) in a long time.

Are you serious about being a teacher? I'm praying that you don't teach English at a college. That would just be an absolute crisis.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I mean the title caught my attention but I can barely understand much of what the OP wrote. How is anyone commenting on this strange puzzle work?

GRE Analytical Writing Score: 2.
