If I've pulled a runner and want to return, would I face any problems receiving a visa as long as my last visa has expired? I'm wondering if getting a new passport or choosing a different province will increase my chances of not running into problems. I'd prefer to be in Seoul and not have to get a new passport, but I'd hate to get all the paperwork and be denied a visa.

Numbers added for clarity:

1) No PROVIDED your last visa has expired AND there was no criminal complaint filed against you.

2) Makes no difference.

I'm assuming there was no criminal complaint filed, seeing as I didn't do anything illegal. They actually refused to give me an apartment or money for a place to stay so I almost had no choice but to leave as my cash supply quickly ran out.

There was no criminal complaint filed against you for pulling a midnight run. Immigration usually could care a less. Even if they did it wouldn't be the passport that they would get the information from. However if you pulled a runner from a public school you can forget having another public school position.
