Hi
I graduated from Korea and spent 6 months here under a D-10 visa and am currently working under an E-7 visa. It is a small company with around 5-6 people and I have been here for a few months. However, now they are trying to find a fault with anything I do and and trying to either get me to quit or get me fired within the next few weeks. In short, there is no environment for working in a calm state of mind. I need to prepare for the worst case now, so if things come down to quitting, I was wondering what can be done in terms of my visa and the health insurance that the company has done. Specifically I would like to know whether I can get an extension for my current visa or another temporary visa for a certain time so that I may look for another work, and what kind of paper work I should prepare (from my own side, as well as anything I may need from my current employer) if things come down to having to quit within a very short notice. There are no other foreigners working around here so I have no one to look to. Kindly give me some advice.
Thank you. |

a) Get an LOR and get a new job (transfer to another E7 or change of status to an E2 or D10).
b) Don't get a LOR and think, "New country till this visa expires."
(a) or (b) = Pick one.
