Promise of a visa, reality was hell. What should I do?

Darn! Sorry I resurrected an OLD post. I was just trying to edit some spelling mistakes and it looks like I quoted it thus bumping it back up to the top.

Really? People still fall for this in 2013? Maybe when not many foriegners came to Korea, it was easier to be swindled like this. But, now, with everyone knowing about Korea?

That should have been your first sign to walk away (assuming you're not a troll). It doesn't take a few months to get a Visa. Also, putting you in a basement apartment here? Yeah, this was a hakwon trying to hire you on the cheap. With you being illegal, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on if you went to the labor board with a complaint.
