|
|
Currently on winter vacation and lost my ARC, I know, I know.
Where is the immigration office in Incheon and how can I get there? I work in Songdo so I am guessing I went to the nearest office to there.
Also, what do I need to get a replacement as I always hear conflicting stories, some say just a passport and money, others say photos and documents, I am quite confused.
Thanks |

For a replacement ARC you need to apply for it at the office that has jurisdiction over your place of residence (usually your home office).
You cannot do it at any random immigration office.
You need:
- your passport,
- police report (reporting the loss/theft of your ARC),
- application and
- fee for the new card (20k).

I believe the Incheon immigration office is down near Incheon port. Just take a taxi there. It's not that far from Songdo. |

I'm not going to be an internet dick and drop a LMGTFY link, but this does call for a *light chop on the head* + "Paaaaabo!", I think.
A 3 second Googling gives this office location, which is pretty accessible. If you work in Incheon, this should be where you got sorted out when you arrived, but you might want to check with your co-worker (whoever took you) to be absolutely sure.
From Songdo, take the subway up to Bupyeong, change lines in the Dong-Incheon direction, take that to Dong Incheon station, and grab any taxi. Ask to go to (or just show them) 인천출입국관리사무소 AKA "In-cheon Chul-ip Guk-gwan-li Sa-mu-so". It's a 3-5 minute drive. There's usually a cab or two waiting outside the Immigration Office so you can just grab one of those back to Dong-Incheon station afterwards.
Or you can just cab from wherever you live, depending where you live down there it might not be that expensive.
Tompatz covered the documents already. |
