I've already linked to multiple sources which say that a pardon does not equate to erasing the records.
And we should take this to PM if you want to go further with this...since it's just the two of us talking now. |

Nice try but I never agreed to the deal. Plus she still needs to have the conviction stricken in order to teach...which was one of the issues we were debating.
And you were also wrong about her being a teacher.

TUM, you're a teaching assistant at a public school. Would you say you are not a real teacher? You teach, don't you?
The article was talking about having the misdemeanors (not felonies, but felonies which had been changed to misdemeanors) stricken from her record. First time offenders can do that through the ARC program (as long as they are non violent offenses). (That's why first time offenders try so hard to plea down from a felony to a misdemeanor (and pay big bucks to a lawyer to try to get that to happen). So they can be eligible for that.) My link about the pardon was from 2011. Yes, at that time she was a teacher's aide. Now, it appears she is teaching in public school in some capacity, either as teacher's aide or a fully licensed teacher. (Either way she is still teaching and working for the public school system.) |

First, you must leave Dave's for one week for erroneously claiming hagwon enrollment would increase/had increased following public school cuts. (It didn't. It declined.) Next, if you post of picture of a TOPIK level 3 test certificate (with The Urban Myth written on a piece of paper on it/next to it), I will be a man of my word. (You can even borrow one from a friend (if you have any friends that is).) I won't dispute the picture or claim photoshop. So, put up or shut up. |

The amount of private spending on education is on the decline. The amount of private spending on English education is on the decline. The amount of private spending on mathematics education is actually going up (and has been going up).
Here's the 2012 stats by subject breakdown/student participation rate%:

That is an assumption that very well may not turn out to be true. Last time there were public school cuts did hagwon enrollment go up? It definitely didn't. So why would it this time? English language hagwon enrollment has been on the decline since its peak in 2009. More affordable options to study in the Philippines these days I guess. These cuts mean LESS jobs for us NETs. It is a very bad thing. |
The number of NETs hired to work at public schools has been on the decline for a few years now. That is common knowledge. (If you don't believe me on that for some reason, use Google to find out more.) |

| Well, this is KOREA!!!!! The vast majority of foreign language teachers in the USA are NOT native speakers. And I have had tons of pre-service and in service teachers from Elementary-High School over very many years, and they are all very well qualified, and far better than Elementary-High School foreign language teachers in the USA. |
