I'm looking to sell my hagwon because my wife and I have decided to move back to Canada so I can pursue my accounting designation.
It's been running for over 7 years, my Korean wife and I have been running it for 2.5 years and worked here for a year before we bought it. It is the only hagwon in this area to offer an all english atmosphere with everyday 100% english lessons.
It is profitable and the only reason I'm selling is because I'm going back to Canada otherwise I would keep going because the kids and parents are great. I have run the business "western style" and haven't given in to parents demands and we have a reputation for being the most expensive but best english academy in this area.
This business would work perfectly someone with a Korean spouse as they would be able to deal with the parents.

I'm a New Zealand guy with a Korean wife and have been thinking about such a thing.
I haven't shown this to her yet though.
Do you have any figures? Turnover, sale price etc?
It would be good to have a look around.
