Good stuff and a great sense of humor. Always wondered what he does 'working from home' when he's not teaching at the hagwon. |

His blog is too depressing to read. I can't do it any more. |
How is it depressing? |

How is it not?!
(Well, I guess I'm just speaking from my own perspective. I've invested so much time into trying to learn the Korean language. (It's hard as hell.) Maybe it was a bad investment. Actually not maybe. Probably almost certainly. I try and try and try and still suck at the language. I guess I should just throw in the towel. Why kill myself to try to learn a language spoken by less 1% of the world's population? I'm working myself to death and have very little to show for all my blood, sweat, and tears. I guess the main thing is adults generally can't learn languages as well or as easily as kids. For them the opportunity cost is much, much higher. I seriously underestimated the difficulty of the Korean language, one of the hardest languages in the world for a native English speaker to learn. I was a damn fool.)

Then don't read that blog. I'm sure the kimbap chonguk ajumma is delighted with your Korean fluency. You are conquering Korea one step at a time. |

I'm a big fan of this blog. I've been working on reading through the whole thing during breaks and deskwarming. |

He should. His observations about KlownLand and Gorean "culture" are hilarious.
Is his handle here Canadasteve or is that just a coincidence? |

The Capo is right, he always drinks whiskey, but he prefers it mixed with the tears of virgins in an 80:20 ratio. Jake the Expat, SteveM, and most other interesting expats have long since been banned from Dave's. I heard that they, along with a consortium of other famous and handsome and well known expats gather each Sunday in Itaewon at a pub to drink Macallan 55-Year-Old whiskey and share war stories. I could tell you which pub and when, but when I'd have to kill you. |
