You don't think I'd add them to the sad lot at the SPCA! I found them a good home with a family I've known for a long time. They'll be well looked after, even though they have to share the big pad with a jealous chihuahua half their size (the poor dog hasn't a chance!). |

i went out with a gal for a few months who had 3 cats in a small apartment..
i hated it
firstly when i'd wake up every morning 1 cat would be sleeping on my face, more often than not there would be some pee or poo on the floor in the morning and the stupid little fur balls never came when i called or sat when asked unlike the much smarter and obedient dog.
i had 1 cat for 6 months and he was pretty ok but i had to move and couldn't take him with me... so, i fed him to my friends dog.
you can see a pic of him in my avatar |

| Hey am I reading this wrong, or did you bring your cat with you to Korea? I'm moving a few months from now, and don't want to lose the kitty. How do you do this? Is it manageable? Is it hard on the cat? |
You're in Canada now i assume ??? Take him to a vet make sure he has his rabies shots. I think this was all mine needed.
You also need to bring the paperwork. With these proper documents & certification, as of last year, no quarranty was necessary.
Also, the vet should give you some good cat "drugs". Your tabby will be a lot calmer & more happily sedated on the flight over.
Be warned mind you. KAL will stick it to you for the tune of around $300 CNDN. to have your pet stored away down below
( whether it constitutes an extra piece of baggage or not ) |

| As for Korean jobs: Will it be harder to get a job if I tell people I'm bringing a cat into the apartment?? Is it normal to have pets in apartments or am I going to get some weird responses? |
Shouldn't be difficult to secure a job. I had no problem. Now we got two cats in my apartment.
My gf tells me b/c they whine when isolated in the laundry room ( one at a time ), the neighbours might complain.
Nothing so far mind you.
Good luck |

| There are always cats in every room you'll ever be in, you just don't always know it. Check cupboards, sofas, under flootboards. |

| It's quite amusing that nobody seemed to know about cats always being in rooms. I suppose the cats had something to do with it but still... |

Around 40 cats in one section of a house , and all in one place during meal times. It's a tad freaky. My sister-in-law runs a small non-profit cat organisation. She knows all their names and characteristics, which isn't surprising if you gonna go that far to help. |

Another quick thought on the job application thing --
people generally come over on a tourist visa and do a visa run to japan, right? It'll be a bit suspicious "going on vacation" to korea with a cat in tow, right? So I should apply for the job the long drawn out way through the korean consulate here? Or do people regularly vacation with their cats?? Sheeesh what my little baby is going to make me go through! |

Only mentalists holiday with their cats.
Solutions:
1. Stuff valium down your cat's throat and cram it into your hand luggage.
2. Shave it, pretend it's an ugly baby.
3. Leave it at home and put it to sleep.
4. Say it's your friend's cat and you're visiting him to give the cat to him. |

just did it, and he looks like the baby from 'eraserhead'.
if all cats are distributed equally in all places at any given time, until the moment they are found...... If I time it correctly, I should find my cat in my new apartment when I get there. there is potential for him to already be there. In fact, my eraserhead cat is potentially hiding in nev's left shoe.

| Yes! you've found him! But it looks like now he's in someone else's apartment, and quite angry about it. nev, please distribute him evenly. |
