But, I guess since this isn't your country and you can play the "I'm the eccentric foreigner" card you can try and get away with that. Will you get away with it? Probably. Will anyone take you seriously as a "professional"? No. |
If your school even comes close to thinking of you as a 'professional' in any circumstances you've struck it lucky. I don't get the constant desire TESOL teachers seem to have for validation of what they do. We teach English, I've taught it in many places, it's a business - not so much an educational sector, it's very similar everywhere, we shouldn't be so uptight about justifying our own existences through it. |
