Hi

I have a D10 Visa, I want to transfer to an E2 Visa upon return to Korea. I am told (by a recruiter) that Korean Immigration may deny this transfer as I have been traveling outside of Korea while on my D10 Visa.

Is this true? Or, is this BS?

Does Anyone have ANY experience or heard of anyone come across this?

I'd like to know the answer to this too.

I've heard you're allowed to be outside the country for up to 3 months on a D10. But you never quite know until it happens.

the d10 has validity of six months but I know if you're outside korea for 90 days you need a new criminal record check. I just want to know if I'm being told a lie by a recruiter, as can't call immigration from outside korea

IF you have been out of Korea for more than 90 days then yes, they will require you to jump through the same hoops as though you were applying for a new E2.

IF you have only been out for a short time then it is highly unlikely that you would have any problems with immigration.
