This is stop parents giving teachers, influential gifts if you know what I mean so they aren't swayed into giving their kid a higher mark.

If the parent really wants to influence a teacher this won't stop them.

Last year I received many pairs of socks. This year just a handkerchief and logs of cake. Which is okay. The socks were all too small anyways.

What is the point of teachers' day without gifts. Just make then anonymous to avoid bribery.

Without sounding too whiny, I understand that there need to be some limit on giving teachers gifts, especially if they are responsible for giving kids grades that may send them to the best high school ever in their town or a high school that'll teach them how to type, but man, I really wish I had gotten something from my students, even just a nice letter or something.
MAYBE I'll get something Monday, but who knows.

yup one of my students parents apparently thought I needed some type of 'bonus' They sent a girl to my apartment with a nicely typed note in English

"please have girl sexy fun, you good teacher"

wow I love Korea

This has got to be a joke! A darned funny one though!

Hope you were careful and didn't receive any "gifts that keep on giving" from that girl.
