They say it was done by an outside contractor. I'm surprised they would outsource a job with so much sensitive information on so many people.

Look at all the programs you have to download to do online banking and the name of the companies involved. I have to download about 6 and they all have different company name. Now, each of these company can voluntarily steal information, have employee sabotage or be hacked.

I am not surprised that the information of 15 million customers were stolen.

I am even less surprised with the shitty service given to foreigners.

so here is the million dollar question. what do i do if things like my passport and ARC card numbers were stolen? I wasn't too worried until I found out those were stolen

This is what you get for giving out your personal information. Now that your identity has been stolen and your personal information has been copied you will have to change your identity.

Enjoy your new life.

hey so im curious. is there a reason for you being an asshole or is that just your thing. all i did was ask a question.

Wolfie, do you ever think about going back to school?

Wolfie, is there really a point to this? Knock if off folks with you're an asshole and go back to school type comments.

Thanks....

Looks like we all (or almost all of us) had our data leaked...

the actual number of foreigners whose personal information was leaked is estimated at over 1 million

So what are we supposed to do in response to this data theft?

Those who are "in the know" could post some information for the rest of us.
