HI I've recently received Visa issue number and am in the process of completing the visa application form to send to the embassy. I was wondering if someone can help clarify 2 points for me!

1) It asks for my current employers details, As I'm not working at the moment should I leave it blank?

2) I will be purchasing my own ticket and getting it reimbursed once in Korea by my employer. When it asks " who is paying for your ticket" should I just put "myself"?

I know they must sound like really silly questions, but I would really appreciate the help!

The first question is quite simple. You have two options. Your first option is to put down nothing due to the fact that you have no current employers. Your second option is to make up a position that does not exist. If you choose the second option, make it a good one. Tell them that you are currently employed by Harvard University where you are the Chair of The English Department, Chair of the Education Department and Chair of the Linguistics Department.

Be sure to have in your resume that you have 3 PhD's; one in English, one in Education and one in Linguistics.

ALSO be sure to tell them that because your current employer has you doing 3 full time positions, you want to come to Korean for a lighter workload.

I am not sure about the second Question. Maybe you could just say the ticket is being bought by your best friend Bill Gates. This way they will know that you will have the money needed to buy a ticket to Korea.

For 1. I would put down the company that's hiring you. Ask the school to email you the details so that you can copy-paste them into the form.

For 2. I'm not sure. (I've always had the ticket provided.) Ask someone at the embassy what to put. In all likelihood, they don't care.
