I have no idea of the value. But there are sites on the internet which estimate website worth.
By a strange coincidence, some coworkers were talking about this last friday. |

Where can one calculate this site's worth?
I reckon he should flog it, get a decent board running. This place is dying slowly. |

Google "website worth" .....I plugged eslcafe.com into a few and got varied results. Seems to be worth a decent chunk of change though. |

Yes, I did the same and those results are all over the place. Which site do you think is the best for estimates, Hokie21? |

I'd be interested in taking a look at the ad myself. Websites / businesses like his typically sell for a multiple of revenue. Would need the traffic, revenue, costs, and other data to properly calculate a valuation. |

Valuation of web sites is generally less than 2x average annual net cash flow for past 12-60 months. Small websites sell for about 6 months revenue.
Unless of course, you can hype it up, get 1st round, 2nd round or even 3rd round of financing at exponential fake valuations *cough twitter* then it can be valued at 50x trailing losses.
Honestly though, few years back Dave could have sold it for a couple million to a publicly traded internet conglomerate or a group of clueless investors. Search Maker Studios or FailBlog.
Now the site's valuation is probably under 500k due to fewer ads and less traffic but really, the valuation is dependent on whatever the idiot on the other side is willing to pay for it. If he wants to spend 10 million then that's what it's worth. |

True enough. If he had sold a few years ago, he would have potentially made millions. Perhaps he really did not know, or ego took over. Hard to speculate. But in all honesty, the site cannot be worth more than 200 grand. But, some guy over on the idiots of korea site says it is worth 1.5 million dollars. |
