|
|
Today I've received a lot of malware notices while trying to view some threads on this forum. Chrome is showing the following message:
----------------------------------------
Danger: Malware Ahead!
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on forums.eslcafe.com.
Content from www.ajarnforum.net, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
----------------------------------------
For example, it shows up on the link to the following thread.
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=231793
(Mailing luggage home)
Has anyone else seen this? What on the forum is potentially linking to this malware site? Is it one of the ads? Or someone's avatar? |

After checking through a bunch of threads, it seems that all (or all the ones that I checked) have a reply from one particular member of the forum (ttompatz). His profile page is also leading to the malware warning. Could it be the person's avatar that's causing the warning? |

It was the site that hosted the avatar that caused the problem and the avatar has been deleted.
Problem solved.
