Anyone have an update and definitive answer to this?
Quck background, I went from two years at a public school to a hakwan. I am now switching back to the same school district in March. When I first went to the public school I came from a hakwan and the switch was seamless. No new medical test needed, or reference letters, not much beyond my valid ARC was needed. I had already had one year at a Gepik school and did not use a recruiter. Now, going back to the same school board, but through a recruiter they keep asking for loads of other paperwork. A real pain in the ass when I'm working full-time. Is anyone else making this switch soon and have a clearer idea than the recruiters, who seem to ignore my suggestions that maybe this process could be less burdensome?

If you have been out of the public service and want to move back to a PS job then you will need all new docs (CBC and degree copy with apostille) just like you would for a new visa application (for the EMPLOYER - It is NOT an immigration issue).
Your choices are to get them, stay in hagwons or move to a uni post.

| Thanks. So the copies from immigration of the CBC and apostilled degree are not enough? I haven't left the country at all. When I moved from a hakwan to a PS job in 2011 they just sent me over at immi. with the new contract and school's info. The school didn't ask for anything else at the time. It's changed since then? |

You are fine with immigration. It is not an issue with kimmi.
The employer (PS school) on the other hand usually asks for them and if you don't have a nice, fresh set then they don't hire you. It's as simple as that.
Employer issue and NOT an immigration one. Meet their requirements or try again elsewhere.
