Maybe just Maybe you can buy it from a black-market food goods store in SEOUL. But you are in Kwangju, so any close American Military Bases. According to my memory I do not think so, so no chance of that. If there is there might be a black-market store close to you. But which one I do not know.
Now another option is to look on this site for some of the foreign goods websites, but in my opinion they will charge you a finger and toe for bag of chips sometimes even more so then the black-market stores. Are you willing to pay 4000won or 5000 won for a big bag.
Here is a link to help but some of the info is dated.

Remember Dorthy you are not in Kansas anymore.
Good Luck |

I know for a fact that they sell them in the corner stores in HBC very close to Itaewon. HBC is Haebonchon sp? It's about a 15 min walk from the mcdonalds end of Itaewon. A friend of mine lives there and Cool Ranch Doritos are a must for me when ever I visit. I know how absolutely horrid the withdrawls can be so I feel your pain. Best of luck! |

I purchased a bag over the summer from a black market in Songtan, close to Osan Air Base, the big bag ran me 6k. |

You can get Doritos at your local black market shop for about 5,000. |

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Korea now has Cool Ranch Doritos.
Just went to 7-11 and decided to look in the snack isle which I hadn't done for a while and ... couldn't believe my eyes, but it was cool ranch Doritos. They come in a white bag with a picture of yogurt on the front.
One less snack to crave. |

CU has them not 7-11. I thought it said on the bag "CU Exclusive" I could be wrong though. |

Hokie21 - It was a CU, my bad. I rarely notice the names of the convenience stores I happen to walk in anymore.
About the taste, not exactly but it's pretty close. You can taste the yogurt part when you take the first bite for sure, but pickers can't really be choosers I suppose. After I had a few I stopped noticing the difference in flavor. |

for nostalgia's sake i went and got a bag last nite.
slightly sweet as korean crisps tend to be although not as bad as the other crap they peddle as snacks.
also not as strong and sour as the american ones and lacks the colorful confetti-on-a-chip look. still tastes similar though. a poor man's cool ranch if you will. |

I had a bag of the new Doritos 'super spicy' flavour.
They were, indeed spicy. Quite nice though! |
