I have been dealing with several recruiters, as the knowledgeable people on this board recommend.
It is funny, all the recruiters want to call or meet me on Skype at exactly 11am KST. And now I've been double booked for an interview for two different positions at exactly 10:30am KST.
One I agreed to last night which is for a position in Bundang, the other is for a job I'm more interested in (I think) in Isu. However, I didn't hear anything from the Isu position recruiter for a while but sure enough she set it up at this conflicting time. At this point it is 10pm in Korea so I don't have many business hours to try and correct this beginning tomorrow morning.
This situation would be quite simple to navigate in the US but I just don't know enough about what is acceptable or what to expect in trying to reschedule one of these interviews for a different time tonight or tomorrow.
I've read not to tell recruiters that you are working with someone else, so I will avoid that.
Go ahead and laugh at my foolishness, stupidity and poor scheduling but any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

Just tell one of them that it's not a good time and ask to reschedule it. If the Isu interview was scheduled without your approving the time, then you'd be best to reschedule that one.
If you're really concerned about it, give the recruiter a call. You have her phone number right? |

Thanks for your response.
I don't have my recruiters number. Just numbers for other staff at a USA and Korea Office.
I originally told the Isu recruiter that I should be available any time today or tomorrow evening, but that was over 36 hours ago. I just sent an email back asking her to reschedule because I have a schedule at that time.
My brother moved in with me a while back and he watches a lot of Korean shows with subtitles on my TV when I'm trying to watch sports. I catch them every once in a while and it seems like Korean people are pretty understanding when someone has a "schedule" Sadly, the reality show world and the business world are worlds apart.
Fingers crossed. |
