I've already seen several Korean skaters blocking and cutting up other skaters in this Olympics. Only reason it didn't cause a pile up was because other people possess peripheral awareness.

Pretty much how Koreans walk on the streets.

This was predictable. If the Korean had won cleanly, like many have, they would have either played the "Korean athlete farm vs. Student-Athlete" line or the "She cut people off" line.

If there is a smidgen of controversy, always the Korean gets blamed.

A Brit causes the collapse, and then its "Korean lynch mob". Of course if a Korean had slid it would have been "just like their drivers". Funny how there are no cultural implications when a Brit makes a mistake.

What's clear is that no matter what the outcome, some people would find a way to bash the Korean.

It was a slip, that happens. No reason for Koreans to be vitriolic against the Brits. But there is no reason for chalking every single event involving Koreans up to crookedness.

Christie... Pile up.... What's the matter with these Christies and the pile ups they are causing? First the New Jersey Gov Chris Christie on the George Washington Bridge, now this?

Next would be:
at an auction at Christie's
audition at an Agatha Christie movie
Liberty College football game: home of the Fighting Christies

Laughing

Skating like a Korean driver! Just tonight i was crossing at a green man when a Korean revved his engine (whilst stationary at a red ligt) then floored it and blasted through the red light (missing me by 2 feet at max) only to pull up 50 metres later to stop into a shop. It seems that regardless of the obstacles, or the consequences, some people's needs cannot be delayed!

Blegh, I hate the British press whenever any Brit is involved in a sporting event, or if they win the damn thing - I will never support Britain/England in anything of a sporting nature. If you have no idea what I mean, start looking at Brit news sites now, starting with the BBC I guess, it's revolting.

What? The BBC is the best.

On the daily mail site all the highest rated comments were pretty much blaming the brit for the pile up.

Few Brits care about the winter olympics, fewer still speed skating. The UK has won 10 medals in the last 34 years. To put that into context, that is 4 short of the total Korean medal count from the last olympics alone.

They tried extreme measures back in the 1970's to address the shortcomings. Take a look.

And the online abuse has started.
I wonder from which country the abuse originated from? Hmmm!

The pile-ups and the falls are part of the fun. So long as nobody gets hurt of course...

The Korean gets a severe pummeling at the Seoul Olympics.

The most one sided beat down in Olympic history. Yet the Korean cheats (nothing new here) award the gold medal to the Korean (nothing new here), who had been tore a new one by the American (nothing new here).

I don't even need to click on this link. Roy Jones Junior, isn't it? A notorious and shameful robbery

Sadly, there wont be much response (twitter fever/death threats/stupid bullcrap) from the Americans on the fact US female skater Emily Scott was knocked out of not only the semi-finals, but also the finals as well by Korean skaters who were eventually penalized for their actions. Ive seen alot of skating in these Olympics, and Korea seems to be the single most penalized/dq'ed country to this point so far.

Pay back for Ohno I guess....
