Funny how they seem bothered when judging decisions go in their favor. But when it appears to perhaps go against them.......well, the world must stop what it's doing until this outrage is righted. |

Sportsmanship is a concept Koreans haven't given much thought to.
Kudos, though, to Kim for bringing home the silver and for being gracious about finishing second.
I still don't consider figure skating a sport. It's performance. |

I think its more an age-old sense of victimhood.

Although her comment left little doubt that she felt she'd been robbed. |

Yep, and it's gaining some steam. Though based on the article I don't think it's really going to do much.

Not surprisingly, the majority of support has come from inside Korea, with nearly 90 percent of supporters reaching the site from Kim's home country (although, as the petition has gone viral, more comments can be seen from other countries on its page). Unfortunately for "Justice Seeker" and others, these figures might make it easier for skating officials to dismiss the petition. Although Kim has a great deal of global support — her 1,500,000-plus Facebook fans dwarf all Sochi athletes not named Shaun White — she's one of the most popular people in Korea and a major representative of the nation. Fairly or not, these fans are more likely to be accused of their own forms of bias, because they're not exactly impartial observers. |

Some of you guys are seriously sick.
Koreans aren't the only ones who though she got robbed. The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) people covering it were absolutely shocked that she didn't win. I'm sure we could find a lot more people with the same view.
And it's figure skating. It's known for always being a little questionable.
And most important, why would you take pleasure in this poor girl being victimized? I understand you don't want to see Koreans brag, but she actually deserved to win. I thinks it's just sick that you take pleasure in that. Now, if she had actually fallen, or been complete crap and that made you happy to see, I could almost understand that. But the fact that you hate Korea so much you're taking pleasure in this. Sick. You guys are just as bad as the K-netizens out there that you mock so much. |

I thought Kim's performance was better, but professional skaters such as Elvis Stojko of Canada, Paul Wylie of the USA, Philippe Candeloro of France, Johnny Weir of the USA, Tara Lipinski of the USA, etc. agree with the judges' decision to award Sotnikova the gold.
Kim's decision to skate an easier routine than Sotnikova is one reason among many the petition to change the result isn't going to go anywhere. If Kim would have skated a more difficult performance, the poor sportsmanship would be more excusable.
The USA women's ice hockey team did the same thing as Kim and the result was the same. They played it safe when they had a lead. They were playing not to lose when the Canadians were trying to win. I wish the USA would have won, but a pouty expression on my face, a temper tantrum, or an online petition isn't going to change the result. |

Apparently the site has crashed under the load of too much traffic.

I need a link to the petition to overturn the result of the Auburn-Alabama football game, if that's how sports are being decided now. I'm definitely a sore loser and I definitely think the folks at the cow college are "primitive Barbarians," the same thing the Koreans are saying about the Russians. I need to work on my pouty facial expressions, though. |

If there was any chance of that happening, Nick Saban would have an army of petitioners at the ready. |
