I'm not based in Suwon but an old friend is and i owe him and his family a really good meal.
Anyone have any advice as to where's "the best" Indian restaurant in Suwon... or even just good ones? |

There are some around Suwon Station. That's probably where you'll find the best ones. Across the street from the station on the right hand side. |

This...it's near the street markets about 100 yards off the main street and it's called Swoyambhu. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's good food. |

Hokie, I think I'm thinking of the same place. Is it pretty close to the crosswalk there in an alley? By the way, where in Suwon are you located? |

I live near Ingyedong. Unfortunately, my job is finished on Friday because of the public school cuts so I'll be leaving Suwon. I have lived in Suwon for 7 years, so I know this city like the back of my hand. Not really, but close. |

Yeah, I'm going to hang out here somewhere. Don't really feel like going home to the states and dealing with that reality. |

The best Indian places are nowhere near the station. Samseong-ro, behind the big Samsung complex just to the west of Yeongtong. There are about 3 or 4 Indian places there, just outside the gate. Go there at shift change and see all the Indians coming for dinner. On the other hand, I don't think I ever saw Indians, or Pakistani/Bengals/Southern Asians in general at any of the Indian places near the station.
To get there, you can cab it - just tell the taxi driver you want the Samsung complex back gate. Or you could take the Bundang line. It's in between Mangpo and Maetankwonsun stations. |

I see Bengals/Indians all the time in the place near the station. |
