|
|
So I have an older looking, half digital, half dial CTR 5000 thermostat which has seemingly shut itself off on me.
Normally I can see how hot it is in my apartment on the digital screen and can adjust it by turning the dials. I came home from work today and the temperature screen is blank...and it's ridiculously hot in here, like the floors are so hot that I can't stand in the same place for more than a minute.
Is there anything I can do to fix this thing or is the only alternative to have my school send a repairman to my apartment to fix this thing in the morning? I'd like to fix this ASAP before I run up too much of a heating bill!
Thanks. I apologize if this is a really stupid question. |

I would definitely tell the school. Heating bills can be outlandish. |

If you go to the boiler, just unplug it and turn the valve to turn the gass off.
I'd guess that maybe a fuse has gone in the box maybe? - cheap fix, if so. |
