In Beijing today it is over 400+ AQI...guess you are getting China's crappy air. Sorry. As bad as it is in Korea, doubt it is 400-500 AQI rating.

Ten years ago yellow dust events in Korea were restricted almost exclusively to the spring months. More recently it seems they're occurring any time of year.

I was on a bus crossing the Han this morning and couldn't see anything. It was pretty thick.

That said yeah I think folks in Beijing/Hebei have it worse.

When it gets warm suddenly it’s almost always because of a Southern-Southwestern air current and with that all the crap comes from China.
I would take the cold but clean air from Siberia instead.

The sky south of Seoul looked like the apocalypse today.

I'm on rural East coast and noticed the strong smell of burning plastic electric wire coatings today from noon until around 5 with a hazy white smoggy sick thick air. I asked myself, "how can it be so polluted some days with no local industry other than a nuclear power plant and only one linear street of small shops, government offices like city hall, and older style houses with a traditional food market in the center? There are no factories, no corporations, and the largest rural apple growing area and some mountains are between my beach and the point about where KTX runs North and South from Daejeon to Daegu. I'm not ranting about the lack of urban development, I'm surprised I'm smelling wire plastic and industrial waste burning from many many miles away. It looks far worse in Seoul news video and the heart condition risk is exactly why I'm uncomfortable about industrial air pollution.

This big smoke is coming over from China? China has a big waste burns some days? Comes from the big Korean cities illegally burning wastes?

Looks like it's currently at 552 in Beijing and around 100 in Seoul.

You've got to be nuts to want to live in Beijing.

This thread is absurd.
