I went to another wedding hall ceremony for a coworker today. I don't like them for reasons which include these:

They do not follow Korean culture and only use the tacky aspects of western culture.

I don't like seeing the bride and groom come down in a glass elevator full of dry ice.

I don't like going to eat when the ceremony STARTS as my coworkers pull me away from the ceremony.

I don't like the guys ripping open my envelope and writing down in front of everyone how much money I give.

The swords are a little strange.

Oh they didn't opt for the Bubble Machine? Hip couples these days go with the bubble machine.

I think its kind of fitting how farcical Korean wedding hall weddings are. The weddings are all a glitzy sham, just like their marriages.

The dry ice makes them look like football (American) players running out onto the field.

Why go to all the trouble and "show?"

"Rises in divorce rates can generally be attributed to self-centered lifestyles that view 'character' differences and economic hardships as things that cannot be overcome," said an NSO official. Broken down by reasons offered by people who divorced, 45.3 percent said "character differences" were the main cause followed by economic problems at 16.4 percent and disputes between family members at 13.0 percent. The infertility of a partner as the leading reason for divorce stood at 7.3 percent.

I liked it when that happened on Happy Days, but not when it happened on Full House.

Be careful.

It would be rude to not go to a coworker's wedding. That is why. By the way, none of my friends or coworkers are divorced.

Well, it's kind of a moot point as no girl would ever be foolish enough to accept a marriage proposal from me.
