Sorry to reboot an old thread but I'm in a similar situation and I'd be grateful if anyone had up-to-date knowledge on this issue.

Im a Brit who went to Uni in Florida where I currently reside. I have my basic disclosure apostilled already but a couple of recruiters have told me I need an FBI check too. I have nothing to hide but that could take months! What are the chances that my visa application gets turned down because my degree and CBC are from different countries?
