Anyone here successfully order Halo E Cig Liquid to Korea? Just curious if any problems with customs or ordering online.

Bought the starter kit here in Korea, but limited selection of liquids. So, hoping to order off the site. |

If you're bringing in significant quantity, beware of potential tax liability.
Korean customers are facing the same challenge as you, so some ordered cartridges from overseas. Small quantities were brought in unnoticed, but once Korean Customs sniffed the scent of it, they taxed one guy heavily, according to the chatter on a Korean message board.
He purchased five 30ml bottles of Halo E-cig liquids from overseas last autumn for about 105 US dollars, which add up to 150ml in volume. Tobacco Consumption Tax is levied on 'per milliliter' basis at the rate of 400 Won/ml. Then he gets slapped with additional, Local Education Tax which amounts to 50% of whatever is levied for the consumption tax. With those two, tax bill already goes up to 90000 Won, and he also had to pay for import duty and customs clearance agent fee in the vicinity of 15k Won. Net tax burden, then adds up to 100% of the original purchase price.
Import duty portion is supposed to get eliminated during 2014 under Korea-US FTA, but the first two taxes stick regardless of customs duty. |

Ok, so it is legal. If I order 3 bottles, each one is 20 bucks, it's a total of 60 bucks. So, it would cost me 120 bucks in total? I guess it's still cheaper and safer than smoking. A single bottle of Halo at an e cig shop in Korea already costs 45,000 won. But, the choices are limited. So, it would be the same, perhaps? |
