Does anyone have any experience with renting a car for a few months?

Not a new one, but a used car. Say like a 5-8 year old Avante, maybe renting for 200-300K a month? Has anyone ever done something like this before?

If so please let me know! I got my Korean license, so I am good to go. I just don't want to pay all those registration fees and taxes, so hopefully renting for a few months seems like the best option?

If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Much appreciated~~

For that money, why not buy a decent used car? Wouldn't it be simpler and you can sell it later. Use this site to get some idea for prices. http://www.encar.com/index.do Get an ajossi to go with you to a good used car lot and negotiate like a mofo.

Yeah I think you are right. I went to a bunch of used car dealers in itaewon and incheon.

It seems that hyundais have the best resale value. I figured... 2000 for car... 550 for taxes registartion insurance navi rental, then sell back to the used car dealer for 1100 three months later.

Then it cost me 1450 for three months of use. Ugh.

580 to rent a new avante per month, now it gets way too expensive! Argh!

I have a car for sale including navigation.

It can be used for a while and later resold for most or all of the sale price.

It could also be rented by the month.
