....A ministry source stated that part of the education program will include an 'ethnic day' at each of the 120 participating schools.
Activities will include sampling national dishes and wearing traditional dress and blacking up.
The source went on to say 'it is only through immersion such as sampling food and blacking up, that our children can understand different cultures in this quickly changing world....'

In other words, the Korean government realizes the only way to avoid a total population crash in an era where Korean women have turned into non-breeding office/coffee shop dwellers is the mass importation of third world women, so they're preparing the population for it by encouraging racial acceptance. |

What in the ever-loving hell does 'blacking up' mean?
And where did that come from? I didn't see that in the linked piece. |

I think this is one area where the Korean government has been relatively pro-active and has provided useful services and education.
Yes, it's about simple economics/demographics but they're working to make the cultural transition smoother. Which in a culture so hidebound is very necessary. |

Imagine the traditional dress of Papua New Guinea: completly nude except for string around the waist. Yeah, I can see that taking over the Gangnam Style. |

I think Korea is really matriarchical now.
Any country where men get PERMs because their wives, gfs, moms, want them to is matriarchical in my book. |

The Minstrel Show in Nineteenth Century America. Blacking Up, Rare Book, 1974, with 15 illustrations presents a distinctive aspect of American theater history, and the portrayal of African-Americans in the popular entertainments of the day.
This is a carefully researched and well written study of what has been called America's "single original contribution to world theater". |
