Just wandering, are there any pros and cons to applying to EPIK directly, compared to applying through an agency?

Korea, home to listless wanderers...

Now regarding your question, if you think you can handle the application yourself and follow the directions from EPIK with little guidance, applying direct may be an advantage. If you want someone to spot your grammar/spelling mistakes, offer interpretation of questions and advise as to how you can ace the interview, an EPIK-affiliated recruiter may be the better option.

I think there is a smaller window where EPIK accepts recruiter applications, however, so if going that route you should probably start working with one sooner rather than later. There is a list on the EPIK website of companies that have applied to be 2014 EPIK recruiters (http://www.epik.go.kr/board.do?boardConfigNo=77&menuNo=271&action=view&boardNo=1613)

Does it make any difference whether or not you apply using a recruiter or directly? I don't really see how actually, it's the same paperwork and everything else.
