Hi, I have been offered a position teaching elementary students with Avalon in Jeonju.
This would be my first time teaching in South Korea.
Does anyone have or know anyone that has had any experience working for this school.
If so, is it a good school to work for? Why / why not?

I can't speak directly about that branch. Avalon is a big chain, multipul owners and such. I'd suggest trying facebook and check out of anyone in that area knows people from the school.

As for my own opinion. I heard numerous unsavory things about Avalon before coming to Korea, but, with my back to the wall on some unrelated issues I signed with them. It's not a hard, or necessarily bad job where I am right now. But, shady? Yes. Have I been wronged? Yes. Do I know they're going to screw me over later? Yup.

But again, check Facebook for people who do/have worked there or know people from there or at least find out about the owner.
