I'm no doctor, I just play one on TV.
I'm no expert, I just pretend to be one on Daves.
So, maybe, I'd suggest finding out what they test for in the emissions test. If you hadn't of had it sent over yet, I'd have suggested getting whatever modification work is necessary. If it's a newer car, it would have a catalytic convertor on it as part of the muffler or exhaust system. Ask the government if there's any special exhaust system or any type of filters that can make the car drivable if it fails. Maybe, they'll let the work get done and re-tested or maybe not.
Ford does sell their mustangs here. I think the newer ones are 6 cylander instead of 8. There are lots of diesels driven here too.
Man, if I were rich in Korea, I'd consider the same as you and drive a sweet pimpin muscle car. Screw driving a grandeur or a frieken chairman. Your car would look so alien here, it'd be awesome! Hope you got some good rock to go with that with the windows down at the stop lights. I could see the middle aged and older folks never knowing what hit them. Live the dream and good luck! |

Sorry, re-read your post. Your registration and VIN number can be faxed or scanned and e-mailed to you. You have to ask the local DMV in your area if you have to ship it there from customs or if it can be legally driven. Your local DMV will put the new licence plates on it. You should call around to insurance companies and ask about insuring foreign cars. Some may not want to bother with it.
As I said, find out from customs what is required for the emissions test. get a form faxed to your school. Get a co teacher to translate it. Scan it and send it off to a shop or friend back home. Get the modification work done back home if you need any.
If the car is old, you will probably need the work done. If it's new, you might not. But, check to make sure. |

One more thing, though probably obvious, make sure you have a Korean Drivers Licence. |

I've seen new corvettes on the road here, so it shouldnt be an emissions problem. |
