Perhaps the NK women have realistic expectations of potential partners? For all of the talk I've seen on here or the other site about the stigma of single women hitting 30, I know a lot of women older than 30 who are still hot, have a lot going for them and surely can't have struggled to find boyfriends in the past. Maybe their expectations are unrealistic? |

I dunno, I read another article about it the other day which was linking it to the whole mail order bride thing.
Basically there are websites out there that men pay to become members of, which then offer them a North Korean bride.
The testimonials were kinda sick. Mostly it was about how the women are super subservient and easily controlled (unlike Korean women i guess) but unlike other mail order brides, they speak Korean and can produce Korean babies.
More or less they all said the same thing, S. Korean women too strong for women. Sad.
I'll see if I can dig up the article. |

There is an English-language documentary floating about out there on this subject - Al Jazeera or CNN maybe? Anyway, the crux of the matter is that modern South Korean women are less enthused than previous generations about marrying a chauvinistic asshole, and becoming a slave to their overbearing mother-in-law. South Korean men are unsurprisingly quite unimpressed with this primadonna attitude, because what right to women have to be such stuck-up cows, when they should be at home cooking and cleaning? Thus, imported brides are the answer for the men, while the women are getting their gold-dig on.
Leave them to it, I say. |

True. I will say that its the same perception of women in Asia as being more feminine that has drawn us here.
You should be thanking the "chauvinistic assholes" for creating a wonderful playland. |

Too many now are high maintenance. Think about it. Would you fork over your monthly pay from the hogwon to buy one of these chicks a handbag?
I don't blame Korean guys for looking elsewhere. |

The problem for a lot of South Korean women is that they don't want to end up as their husband's family's indentured servant, popping out kids until they get a male heir or two and cooking and cleaning constantly and extra during the oft-occurring major holidays which is often the case here, though things are getting better. |

I told you before. It is much better to befriend religiously devoted church ladies in this puny country as long as they're not Moonies. |

"But what stood out more from them were mental maturity in forms of generosity toward male partners and not being picky about the males’ personal backgrounds."
I'm sure this is true. What N. Korean woman would turn her nose up at a S Korean man making 35k a year when back home the men had to work all day for a bag of rice?
Me thinks the S Korean men find the N Korean women more subservient. |

Oh trust me, many S Korean ladies are perfectly fine with ALL of that if it means they don't have to go to work and their man keeps bringing home the bacon for their mid day shopping sprees. |
