I think Koreans eating dog is pretty well known if football fans are making chants about it;

"Park, Park, Where ever you may be
You eat dogs in your home country
But it could be worse
You could be a scouse
Eating rats in your council house"

And I think that was from Man United fans Laughing

It's a shame in a way that dog eating is so well known about Korea because it seems very uncommon. I remember during my first few months here whenever I was told we were going to be eating ddeok I always asked 'Dog?!' and was corrected
