Are they a reputable recruiting agency? I applied to their job offer last week and had an interview with them on Tuesday.
But my experience with their business practice made me suspicious of their motives. I don't want to mention any details now, because I don't want to influence what other people think of them.
I've also searched for similar threads on this topic before:

A few people have mentioned that they are bad, but there aren't any details. Anyone have any personal experiences or stories to share? |

I interviewed with them. The offered me a job initially, which I turned down because of the location. Then they offered me another position in a better location. We had a meeting set up, then it was abruptly cancelled. Since then, they have not contacted me. I have tried to contact them, but I get no response. I would say avoid them. There are a lot more professional and better organized agencies out there. |

I knew the agency's reputation, but didn't get any details. So I went ahead for the interview anyway, and told myself that I would back out if something even smelled slightly wrong.
The first interview went ok, on top of my hourly pay the interviewer promised me transportation fee to cover my travel expenses.
A few days passed by and they told me to come back a second time to sign the contract. I went back and read through the contract carefully, but I still didn't trust them, so I took my time and noticed that my contract didn't mention anything about transportation fee. I tried to fight for the stipulation about transportation fee, but they wouldn't back down.
I could have just given in and sign the contract, afterall the pay was decent and the transportation fee coverage wasn't much, but that is how crooks play and their reputation was less than stellar. If their agency was highly-recommended to me or if they had a good reputation, I would've probably signed.
Instead I walked out and told them not to call me back again. |
