Walmart is not good though. They have just changed the one in Seolleung, maybe over the weekend, making it lookm like it has sparsely stocked shelves and not many lines.
Don't like it, but it is a 10 minute walk from where I live, making it convenient. |

Strangely enough in my adult class tonite we mentioned walmart. One guy said it isn't doing so well in Korea because of korea's nationalism. I'm not sure what that meant but I accepted it to mean they didn't want to buy American products. Does Walmart here actually sell many American products? They just the other day opened their first one in Japan too. Wonder if it's any good there, or if it will do well. Are the Japanese as nationalistic as the Koreans?? Will they not spend money on imported stuff? Somehow I don't think so. Korea, I can understand it-- still trying to enter the 20th century and all.  |
