Nah, I'm an asshole too, sometimes anyway. I'm usually a good enough person, but this is the Internet and I was drunk. I rarely call anybody a bad thing online. Don't even know the people, or maybe a little, but we're just reading words on a screen. It could all be an act or persona.
But why dig into a man's past posts when he's asking a simple question? Just answer the question. |

But people did answer his questions, and he completely ignored them and went off on a tirade against the trolls. He didn't seem to actually want to discuss the topic at hand. Which is maybe a small piece of insight into how his two marriages failed... |

Mrwright, you are definitely too sensitive for the internet. If this is the way you act in real life, I can see why you have relationship issues.
I do not think these forums are for you. This is not me being mean. This is me being friendly and honest. Some people simply don't fit into a forum's culture. Sure, the people here aren't the most friendly people in the world but you're not doing much to make the situation better. Right now, the only way to make it better is to leave. You'll find better help and advice elsewhere. |

Well, if someone were to judge this forum's culture solely from this thread, they'd assume it was a pack of rabid dogs primed to shred any scrap thrown their way. But there's a lot of civil discourse that goes on here too. mrwright seems to have rubbed people the wrong way though for some reason, then fueled the fire by engaging them.
My advice, stick with the China forum thread.
Also, while (if real) its kind of sweet, in the post-2girls1cup world you should really change your email address. |
