Cinnabons! Tacobell! And whatever else your stomach desires!

It's always funny when someone says that, as though it were that simple.

Katydid: the Myongdong location folded last year.

Not last year, but it must have been recently. I believe when I went for my alien card run just about a month ago, I was able to have one. Noiw...no. So, not Myeongdong...ah that's it...Omokyo.

The one in Bundang closed recently, too. Hard to believe they weren't making any money; the place was always busy and the prices were pretty steep.

Where was the one in Bundang?

As a side-note, I think YBM had a stake in the franchise. Wifey used to work for them (YBM, not Cinnabon), and they were always giving her free crap.

yeah they do have a stake in it, its mentioned on there website (came across it while doing research) guess that means that YBM employees will no longer recieve discounts at the stores if they are all closed lol

I am clueless here. What is a Cinnabons? I get the idea from the thread, but I have never heard of this chain before. Any back round info?

I spoke with one of the senior teachers at the YBM ESL HQ in Chongno this afternoon. He told me that the local Cinnabons - as I suspected - just went under. There are a few small outlets remaining in Korea, he said, but they are no longer affiliated with YBM.

Yeah I was surprised to see Cinnabon close down too, but I'm wondering if/when Krispy Creme doughnuts will ever make it over here! I had heard all the hype over them and tried them out when I visited Toronto last year and boy they put Cinnabon to shame as far as taste and addictiveness go! On another note have you noticed that Ben and Jerry's ice cream chain are now in Korea? A nice change from Baskin Robbins as I'm a little sick of them and Dunkin Doughnuts for that matter. I need choices!!!

Yes I have, and having a bucket of that at home is a FANTASTIC way of getting a woman to come back to your place!
