So i'm coming to Korea to teach once i have my degree.
I am nervous about my appearance and would like some procedures done while i am there in general. I was hoping for IPL hair removal and also i was laser removal for my freckles, (face and arms and backs of legs).
Has anybody had any surgery or procedures while teaching there, This can be IPL removal, to full blown facial reconstruction.
Any information would be great i.e places to go, prices and recommendations of any kind? Smile

Have had LASIK, not sure if that counts. Way cheaper than back home and the quality of the operation and surgeon were quite good.

I would imagine that 99% dont have anything done while they are here.

Hehe is this asking if i want BOTOX or do you mean do i want information about it?Smile anything is welcome here to do with beauty or surgery. I would like to treat my mum to it when she came over on her travels (i would never say it to her face Razz) but i know here it is about £360 for 3 areas so about ($550 i think). but do you know the price of it in Korea?

That makes two of us. But apparently, "In South Korea, plastic surgeons have mastered (or invented) the skills of calf reduction surgery to slim down these protruding calves."

1.What is it?

Compared to Caucasians, Asians have relatively short legs and muscled calves. In South Korea, plastic surgeons have mastered the skills to slim down these protruding calves. Since this is one of the most serious cosmetic procedures, it is very important to consult with doctors who specialize in calf reduction surgery.

I was born with 4 ears, all four being of normal size. Luckily, I was able to photoshop the 2 extras out of my job application photo. I arrived in the winter so it wasn't a problem. I wore a stocking cap. But when the summer heat set in I began toasting away in class.

To make a long story short, I had 2 of the ears removed from a reputable plastic surgery clinic.

Which two...from the left side or the right side?
But of course it had to be from the left side.
Right sided hearing is like right handedness....right?
Right?

That wasn't a curse, that was a blessing! Shame on you! You could have been like the ear equivalent of that guy in 'Hannibal' who can pick out scents.

Condemn this man as selfish.

Right?

The Doc suggested that I have the 2 back ears removed. He said it was more practical since I had already had my eyeglasses fitted for the front ears. So it was to be.

If you want any type of plastic surgey while here, go to Apgujeong. It's the main district of Seoul for that. But get references, ask to see photos of their past work, and get some Koreans to read online Korean blogs for you to check their reputation and quality by word of mouth too. Also, be wary of places that do many kinds of plastic surgeries under one roof as they may want you in and out for the cash and not care a whole lot about a botched job. You want to make sure the place you go to mostly only does that type of surgery Focus on those who specialize. Good luck.
