Hello,
I hope someone could help me answer my questions.
My work has finished and ARC (E2 status) ends in May. I wish to extend E2 for 1 more month. Does "Temporary extension of stay for departure of registered foreigners" keeps my E2 status?
If not, how do I go about doing so?

To stay in Korea you can get the 30-day extension.
It is free. It is touristic. You CANNOT work.
To extend the E2 (even for 30 days) you need to do the paperwork for an E2 extension (1 day to 1 year = the same paperwork):
passport
ARC
new contract or contract extension with end date clearly shown
application
fees
employer's business registration (copy)
employer's guarantee (sponsorship form).
If you are considering looking for another job (without your current employer being aware that you are staying in Korea) then do a change of status to D10.
