What options do I have for working or living in Korea?
I am a male , early 30s, from New Zealand without a degree
My wife is Korean , early 30's and will have a degree shortly

I work in IT , in a helpdesk role ,probably couldn't do that in Korea.

You can illegally work as a teacher but it could risk your visa.
Bar work or anywhere unskilled that will hire you, as you're married to a Korean you can can an F6 visa.
Best option is to learn Korean and plenty of doors will open even without having a degree.

Even if you are married to a Korean? I know you would have to report your income, but I thought it allowed you to privately teach.

I believe you still need to register with a local MOE and therefore you need to qualify.

So does it actually risk the visa? Seems somewhat legit from the POV of an English teacher but if you apply it to one of the Vietnamese spouses in the south for example, outright losing visa status for teaching the language seems a bit odd.
