I mailed my application out on April 24, 2014. I realize that i still need to receive it and get it apostilled and all this can take 2- FOUR months... All the agencies want to know when I can start. I said Mid July. Will employers hire me if I can't yet provide them with my CBC yet? Thanks. Just wondering how much effort I should put out there without paperwork yet. Thanks!

You can keep searching, but expect the hits to be pretty limited until you get all the documents in hand. It's easier for them to pick from the litter of people who have all of the documents than to wait for a specific person to get theirs.

Without the documents in hand you cannot get a visa.
Without a visa you cannot work - you are just another tire kicker wasting time.

Just wait. EFL isn't going anywhere.

There will still be jobs when you are ready and have your paperwork in hand.

OP,

I sent out my documents for my CRC/CBC and got it back within 4 weeks I believe, might have been 5. When most people say it takes 3 - 4 months, that is just how long IT COULD TAKE. I must have gotten lucky when I received it back so quick. Yours is probably coming right around the corner.

As for the apostille, I suggest you do what I did, and I got mine back within 2 weeks.

Go to USPS or UPS and buy a self addressed priority mail, which will be delivered overnight (cost $20). Send this in a flat rate envelope to the Authentication's office, or even buy another priority mail and send it in that.

Place your CRC/CBC & self addressed envelope along with any other documents (money order, etc) in the flat rate envelope and send it off!

The reason I did not use a priority mail to send it was because I did not need it in a matter of time, but I did have them send it back overnight just in case. I spent about $25 and got it back really quick!
