Only two teams left - The "New York" Rangers and the "LA" Kings. Between them they have 25 Canadians on their active roster. LA has twelve and New York has thirteen. Confused I think the league needs to expand. No more teams in the likes of California and Florida. If there is so much extra Canadian talent then...open up some more teams north of the border. Hamilton has been after a team for decades. How about Windsor or Kingston? Quebec City? If an "American" team wins the Stanley cup it should, preferably, be comprised primnarily of Americans.

It works both ways, of course. I remember years ago when the Toronto Blue Jays won the baseball title two years in a row. Canadians were ecstatic, but there wasn't a single Canadian on the team. All Cubans, Americans and Dominicans.

Think Kings will win, since many of the guys have won it before. The Rangers might win it in the next few years though.

As for expansion, I'd say no. Still a lot of those American teams that fudge their attendance numbers. A team needs to be moved (Phoenix, Tampa, Florida), and I'd say Quebec City is the next team to get a relocated team. Hamilton will not get a team as long as that RIM guy is in the picture, and Buffalo and the Leafs would have a fit. I'd be surprised if they put another team in the southern Ontario region in my lifetime. Balsillie did something that pissed all 30 owners off, and that was probably not conform to the old-boys club. And sports is an old-boys club and he needs tor realize that.

LA will win. More rounded team than New York. LA has the edge in scoring talent.

It's been nearly 100 years since the Decatur Staleys. This is how all big time sports work. May as well complain that there is neither a ranger nor a king on either team.

The NHL executives probably have been salivating at the marketing coup ever since the start of the conference finals. Three teams representing the 3 largest US markets, and the historically 'mystical' Canadiens that casual hockey fans all are curious about.
