I applied to recruiter through email saying I'm ready to find a position. I also said i have all documents except apostille for FBI background check. I thought I would receive response because my documents are almost ready but nothing.
I have gotten no email response back not call.
What do you do when you receive no response?
Do you call them up or just wait patiently?
I applied a week ago. |

Try another recruiter. I am not trying to be an ass, but there are tons of Korean recruiting services, you just have to do a google search for them. If someone isn't offering you the types of positions you are looking for, or not responding to your email, then try a different agency. Good luck in the search. |

I realize that this is just an internet forum and I am not a grammar cop but if your e-mail, cover letter or resume is anything like your post that might explain the lack of response as well.
The 2nd reason is that most won't talk to you until you have ALL of the required documents in hand (not just "coming") is because it can take weeks/months to get them all done and be ready to apply for a visa.
3rd... use MULTIPLE recruiters. They don't work for you. They work for the school.

As Rom said you are not ready. That FBI check alone could mean a delay on a month or more. In the ESL business most hires are going to be pretty quick. Till you are all ready you are going to be a waste of time.
You are relying on email. The thing is email is so easy to ignore and well it piles up. A recruiter might have a whole bunch of other emails from other prospective hires and well people who are being processed for jobs. So some patience is needed where you expect to be replied to in a day might take a few days.
The recruiter might also be making a judgment call on to not deal with you and they .... just move on. Not even a email saying no or try later. They want less grief so they are likely to ignore you and your emails.
Next, yes give them a call. I mean in this day and age a phone call is cheap. Spend the money on a card or Skype and pick up the phone. A simple check up a day later from email and you can prompt the recruiter to deal with you. Sometimes a phone call can solve a whole bunch of problems then an a email. Just keep it simple and short. Plus expect maybe some bad language barriers. |

Cut and paste response:
1) You should be using a TON of recruiters, any and all, to find the best job for you.
2) Remember that the recruiters don't work for you, they work for a potential employer. They want to get you into any job vacancy they have so that they can get paid.
3) You are under no obligation to tell any given recruiter how many services you are utilizing.
4) Get all your paperwork in order (see the stickies) so that you can move on an offer if it's what you're looking for.
5) While you're at it, put your resume up on the link. Someone might just find YOU.
Good luck with the job hunt.... |
