|
|
"He is suspected of shooting dead three officers Wednesday night in Canada. Two other officers remain in surgery with serious injuries... Bourque, 24, armed with high-powered long firearms, was spotted three times while eluding the massive manhunt that emptied roads and kept families hunkered in their homes in Moncton, an east coast city where gun violence is rare... Schools and government offices were closed, and the city pulled its buses off the roads. Mail delivery was suspended.... Police say Bourque is carrying two military-style assault rifles with high capacity magazines, a bow and a knife."

I wonder how he was able to obtain that kind weaponry in Canada. |

A quote from his Facebook page:
"Free men do not ask permission to bear arms."
It sounds to me like he was highly influenced by US pro-gun rhetoric. He thought it was his human right to walk around in public armed to the teeth. When police showed up to disarm him he probably felt fully justified in using deadly force to defend that right. He also spent a lot of time playing video games and smoking marijuana. He was unemployed after being fired from his job at Walmart. |

According to a story making the rounds, Bourque was also upset about the shooting of a guy named Danny Levesque.
