Where is the best place to get comfortable quality bedding and comforters in / around Seoul?

The ones you usually find in the apartment just don't cut it imo

It really is a matter of taste. Most foreigners that go to Korea don't think twice about their comforter. They'll sleep on cheaply made chemical filled blanket made in China while they donate money to their favorite charity like PETA.

I bought a goose down lightweight comforter when I first went to Korea, and went through a couple more over the years. There's just no comparison to that Korean market crap they sell there.

Ain't that the truth. I'll buy some top comforters or quilts from either Costco or one of these "marts" which are ok. But good cotton or flannel bedsheets don't exist here. Your best bet is to try to order online from an American company like Bed Bath and Beyond, stock up when you go home, or get your ma to go out and buy some and put them into a care box and UPS it over here.

Bought some when visiting Canada last summer there. But, be darned if I can't remember which ones I bought. I did have to buy an electric lint remover to get rid of lint buildup from time to time. But, they are really soft and comfortable for sleeping on.

I think it might have been a 300 count thread and of their main store brand? Again not sure. Haven't done the Korean quilt thing in years anyhow. The higher the threadcount, the more comfotable they're suppose to be or so I'm told.

You can find top-notch comforters at the department stores and some specialty stores. You'll pay through the nose for them, however. And that's when they're on sale.

Sheets are tough to find. In Lotte Young Plaza there's a Japanese home goods store that sells fitted and regular sheets. Not bad, although over-priced.

Most Koreans order foam bedding online, which I guess is meant for the floor, but they do put it on their mattresses too. I would look for it on Gmarket.
