Yes. I bought my apartment myself while on an E2 visa and registered in my name only at that time - so you can register property no matter your visa type. |
Really? You can buy property on an E2 now? That's good to know. A lot has changed I guess. My friend was married and going through this prob 10 years back and his town would not put his name on anything as an F2. He just sat there and argued with them and wouldn't take no for an answer. Though, it was a business too.
Anyways, good to know some things have changed for us. |

Foreigners buying property need to be aware of the Foreigners' Land Acquisition Act, which requires a report of property acquisition to your local government authority. |
